FT Flyer build
Parts with the “>>” are my recommendations.
The kit takes 2 sheets of Dollartree foamboard ($1.06 each) and a small piece of 1/8 or 3/32 ply ($1.00 but I have been cutting them out of scrap and have a bunch).
Plans for laser will have to cut one wood firewall and 2 control horns for each plane. The cost of my recommended parts is about $75. Power pod is interchangeable. You can build other planes to put on top of this power pod.
Most of the stuff you can get from hobbyking, and shipping of parts is not included in the cost of the planes.
Still need about 3$ for landing gear (finding the right parts but added into the total).
Plans are for an Epilog laser cutter 24 x 18.
Tools and other stuff
Razor knife, packing tape, hot glue gun, soldiering iron, barbecue skewers (I have a huge bag of these). Valcro strips (hook and loop) 1$
Basic radio for the project.
Possibly use for another project (programable with adapter)
>> HobbyKing 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2 (Mode 2) $25.07
This one you would get if you are planning to build multiple planes, it is programmable and can be used for helicopters and planes.
